The Basement Authority of West Virginia/Groundworks did an excellent job of encapsulating our crawlspace. Supplemental supports were added in order to correct a couple sticking doors. And a sagging concrete slab floor in the garden shed was raised back to its original position. Jordan and his crew went above and beyond to level out some high spots and give us some extra clearance under HVAC ducting. They took nothing for granted, were completely transparent in all they did, and were very respectful of our home and family. David Weaver and Brett Mullins did their part, as well. Quality services at fair prices and great customer service. A couple issues arose after installation but all it took was a phone call. Service techs were sent out a couple days later and everything was made right. All things considered, doing business with Groundworks has been a positive experience. No complaints.

If I could leave zero stars I would People please listen to me when I say don’t trust these people. The work under my house started 2024 I have been fighting with them ever sense to get this work done and fixed First off the first crew they sent to my house was straight cons this boy really had me believing he completed the work and was able to get the jacks placed was super nice I had even told him about me already being ripped off by another company and them not doing what they was supposed to and then he looked straight at me and says he did the work. Well something made me think to go check as I said I had been lied to before and I went under there this guy didn’t place the jacks anywhere he was supposed to he tore down my post that was there and placed six of there post jacks in one corner of my home. So then they made me pay for more saying they needing more then 6 so I had to pay for more so the next crew that came out they I thought was good I am a single mom with 4 kids so going up under my house in the crawl space is not something I do everyday. When I went under after they were pretty much finished I thought it looked okay but I’m no expert They sent me a bill trying to say I owed them for stuff that they didn’t do which because my living room so close to the ground they was supposed to take off they areas they couldn’t get under to encapsulate them the six jacks that were placed when they tore my columns down I was not supposed to be charged for and then they stated they placed three pumps under my house not true there is only one I have had them saying they r coming to take a look for a year and no one has came I’ve called and now because they have switched names due to law suits they say because I didn’t pay them they wasn’t coming! But when the regional guy was supposed to come I ended up in hospital and now I can’t get in contact with them. This is what my encapsulation looks like and I’m affraid to let another company help me because of fear of basement authority stating that the different company messed it up. If anyone has advice I would greatly appreciate it.oh also if they wasn’t supposed to come back then why did they leave their equipment and supplies at my house including a very expensive rotary drill and the paper stuff they use to encap the floors and the strafo white stuff they use for their walls this is their work in less than a year!

I had a great experience with The Basement Authority of West Virginia; specifically Eric Reeder for the inspection he completed. Eric was very professional, knowledgeable, and thorough during the inspection. He took the time to explain what he was looking for, clearly went over his findings, and answered all of my questions without any pressure. I appreciated his honesty, where other companies weren't as honest with the repairs needed. Their pricing was much more reasonable than the other companies too.

Highly recommend Groundworks. The installers, David Weaver, Brett Mullins, and Casey Pettigrew, were professional, courteous to my tenants, and respectful of my property. They even finished ahead of schedule! Excellent communication by the team as they worked on my basement, keeping me informed on status and timing. Price is more than fair; you get what you pay for. I wanted to hire a professional to do this the right way, and that’s what I got at Groundworks. I will definitely hire Groundworks again to fully encapsulate my basement later this year. Thanks!!
