We had a major roof leak during a winter storm in December and called Javier at 3 AM when we saw water coming out of our ceiling. Not only did he immediately pick up but he was professional, knowledgeable, and came to our home that same day to help us figure out what to do. He worked with our insurance company to handle mitigation and repairs, and his team was professional, thorough, and reliable. They tented the area of the ceiling that needed replacing and left little to no dust afterward which was a relief as we have asthmatic people in the home. I highly recommend Javier and his team.

We accidentally flooded our primary bathroom. It was 10:30 pm and Javier from Untied Restorations came out to our place writhing 45 minutes of our call. He set up fans right away. They came back the following mori g 8:30 am and started cleanup and drywall removal. They worked hard and accomplished the work within a week while allowing for dry time. The same company does complete restoration. Every worker in and out of our house, professional, polite, hard working and respectful (both in person and in regard to our property). Highly recommended!

Javier has done an incredible job managing a severe water disaster at my rental house. He has made a complex project with multiple subs run seamlessly and answers his phone every time I call. There were some issues with insurance and he went above and beyond to explain the problems and documented everything to make review streamlined. I could not imagine handling this without him.

I recently called to report water damage and get an estimate. The mitigation mgr said he could be out later Friday 12/27/24. He arrived and attempted unsuccessfully to find the exact spot where water was coming from and said it will take an additional trip back to open walls to find the leak. I found this suspicious as the leak was isolated to the linen closet which was directly beneath the upstairs shower and could be seen in the closet where the Sheetrock and insulation had fallen from the ceiling. He also stated he’d have to do an asbestos inspection in addition at that time which would put him into mid part of the following week. He also said since walls in the adjoining room would have to be cut into, this would mean replacing Sheetrock, texturing and repainting the walls which meant the entire room because this room had a custom faux finish applied to walls that could not be matched. He gave me a verbal estimate of $ 8000-$12000 not including the shower repair, but reassured me this would all be paid thru my insurance claim. He set up a dehumidifier that was to run 24/7 until he came out following week that only ran then stopped repeatedly while we were talking. Note, he said it was super quiet, not! You could barely hear the TV in the other room while it ran. He got it to run again and said just unplug it/replug it in to reboot it if it stops again. I asked if the kinks in extraction hose could be the cause, however he said that should not be an issue. He had me sign off on his tablet authorizing him to come into my home and do the repairs the following week(that was all that was on screen). I signed it and he left after 1.5 hours. He did assist my husband who is disabled with the removal of a taxidermy salmon as he could not remove it by himself. He said he’d help out with no problem given my husband’s disability. He did say he’d like to enlist his plumbers to address this job, I replied have my own plumber so no thank you. The remediation mgr left. Shortly after that the dehumidifier quit running once again! I had to reboot it throughout the next few hours, finally I unwound the kinked hose and it worked fine! Sadly, we could not leave it running throughout the night because of the noise. We ended up turning off after 12 hours total. I did call our plumber while the mgr was still at our home, and he agreed to come out the following day which was a Saturday. The following day while our plumber was at our home, he found the leak in only 30 minutes, fixed the leak and gave me a name of a Sheetrock installer and general contractor to replace damaged shelves in closet and paint. The plumber said the walls in adjoining room don’t have to be touched because the leak was isolated to just the closet area. He said let it dry 10 days and the general contractor and Sheetrock installer can finish up. Well under $2000 total. I called URG of V Saturday morning telling him we no longer need their services as our plumber and addressed the leak and please pick up dehumidifier at their convenience/I left it on side porch for them to pick up. On Monday 12/30/24 I received an emailed invoice for almost $1000!!! Dehumidifier for 48 hours/week used it 12 hours Emergency service call $250/this was not an emergency or after hours! Water Extraction & Remediation Technician $385.65 for 5 hours/ he was here 1.5hours!!! Shame on United Water Restoration Group for obviously taking advantage of us: charging for drive time from the tech’s residence and back again! Charging us for removing the taxidermy salmon! Telling me in their email that I was aware of charges for travel time The email that invoice was attached to stated I signed a contract to do the repairs/ I never did, the only item I signed off on was a paragraph that stated I authorize the tech to come into my home! Beware of this company! Go elsewhere!
