Save your time and $$. Called them to come and do water remediation after our basement flooded. The two people who came out were pleasant enough, but clearly didn’t know what they were doing as noted by the calls to someone who wasn’t with them. They wandered around our house and then said they’d get back to us the next day with a quote for the remediation. If you guessed we paid them $250+ to wander around our house and never talk to us again, you’d be CORRECT! Walk away. Pictures are of us doing the work ourselves.

Paul Davis of the Olympic Peninsula was AWFUL! There was absolutely no communication. When we tried to get in contact with our project manager, she never called back. Once it took 3 weeks and multiple messages to finally get in contact with her. There appeared to be absolutely no communication between Paul Davis and their contractors. Not one showed up knowing what needed to be completed. They would ask me if they were supposed to do certain things; for example, “am I doing the baseboards or is someone else?” Some of the jobs the insurance company paid for never got completed. The worst example was when they came to refinish our hardwood floors. Our project manager never arranged to have our appliances moved for the hardwood company so there were large unstained spots around them. When the floors were done, we came home and found all sorts of debris stuck under the sealant throughout the floor, corners missed and rough edges. They had to come back and redo the whole floor. They came back 3 more times after that to fix the floor, the major issue being the lines around the appliances. We finally had to get our insurance company involved and show them the pictures of what had been done. My adjuster had to call Paul Davis, on my behalf, to get it fixed. My adjuster had to call several times throughout the course of this project to get jobs completed. While the contactors were nice about coming back multiple times, their work was sloppy and there was no attention to detail. There were still things that needed to be fixed with our hardwood floor when I stopped having the contractors come back, but I lost confidence in their ability to do a satisfactory job. We had to use a prybar to pry the refrigerator from the floor because the hardwood company sealed the feet to the floor. They also got sealer all over the bottom of my stainless-steel oven, which is noticeable and will not come off. I will have to live with cracks between a few boards, a corner that got missed, and a line around my oven. Another issue we had was with the person who installed the flooring in our upstairs bathroom. He damaged the walls and ceiling when bringing the supplies inside. The toilet was also installed incorrectly. It took Paul Davis a month to send a plumber out to fix it. We ended up painting the spots he damaged, but you can still see the indentations. The downstairs toilet was leaking after it was reset by the hardwood company. We also ended up fixing that ourselves because we did not want the hassle of dealing with Paul Davis. There was no follow up after the jobs were completed and Paul Davis had no interest in fixing the jobs that went wrong. Most of the time, we couldn't even get them on the phone. They stretched a couple week job out over 6 months.

I honestly don’t even know where to begin, Paul Davis showed up for us when we were completely overwhelmed. When the water loss happened, everything felt like it was spiraling at once. Within 45 minutes of reporting it, Lauren and Tyler were at our house, and that alone changed the entire tone of the night. In a moment of panic and uncertainty, they brought calm, reassurance, and a clear plan. Rob and Lauren deserve an extra-special shout-out. They were there for us nonstop, checking in, explaining every step, answering my mile long questions, and making sure we never felt alone in the process. They didn’t treat us like a claim number or a job on a schedule, they treated us like people who had just had their home turned upside down. That matters more than I can put into words. Every single person we worked with, Lauren, Tyler, Rob, Justin, Les, and Leland were professional, respectful, and genuinely caring. They showed up when they said they would, communicated clearly, and handled our home with care and respect during a really difficult time. No one ever wants to deal with water damage, but if you do, this is the team you want in your corner. Paul Davis didn’t just do mitigation they gave us peace of mind when we needed it most. We will always be grateful. Edit: 1/31/25 We also had Kory out for a separate water issue, and he was fantastic. He arrived quickly, was kind and professional, and took real time to explain everything to us and our son and helped ease a very stressful situation. He brought calm, clarity, and even some much needed laughs during a tough day. We knew exactly who to call, and Kory absolutely reinforced that trust.

⭐ Addendum (1 → 2 Stars): Shortly after posting this review, I received a call from Kim. She was kind, understanding, and genuinely cared about how much this situation had impacted us. That conversation alone earns this review a second star. Kim explained that the initial tile contractor they lined up backed out unexpectedly. I get that these things happen. But here’s the issue: none of that was communicated to us at the time. I don’t expect every internal problem to be shared, but a simple heads-up that “our contractor is causing delays, we’re working on a replacement” would have gone a long way. Instead, it felt like we were in the dark—for six weeks—between the first contractor’s disappearance and any movement on the job. Scroll down. I’m not the only one with a 1-star review citing long delays and dropped communication. This company has a pattern, and that pattern cost me time, a considerable amount of money, and caused a great deal of stress. I've edited the original review below. 👇 ___________________ In mid-July, Paul Davis Restoration of Olympia was assigned to handle repairs on my home following water damage. Mitigation had already been completed by SERVPRO, so the scope was relatively straightforward: tile work and baseboard installation. Unfortunately, the experience from that point forward was marked by long delays and poor communication. A major factor was that I had already moved out of state, so I wasn’t there to monitor progress or check in face-to-face. I left messages, but updates were infrequent. Often, I was told someone would follow up—and then nothing. One contractor even asked me over the phone what I wanted done, then several weeks passed, and when I followed up, there was no record of that discussion. In total, it took three months to complete relatively basic repairs. I’ve been stuck paying two mortgages while waiting for the job to finish so I could list my home for sale. If you’re a USAA member and Paul Davis is assigned to your claim, I strongly recommend asking for an alternate contractor. Please also take time to read the detailed reviews like mine—not just the 5-star ratings without comments. Those don’t reflect the real customer experience for jobs that fall off their radar.

We had an outstanding experience working with Paul Davis. They were extremely professional, detail oriented, and excellent communicators throughout the process. We especially appreciated how respectful they were of our new home and how considerate they were around our pets. Lauren and Kory in particular took such great care of us every step of the way. We highly recommend Paul Davis; they were the best company we’ve worked with in Kitsap County.

Poor communication with Paul Davis restoration themselves. 6 and a half months to do a small bathroom. The only positive I have to say is the contractors that were sent out were fantastic. RG Diversify painting did the Sheetrock and painting. Great work. Our tile guy Moses was the best of the best. He went above and beyond in doing very complicated tile work. I recommend the contractors but not Paul Davis. Hopefully it will improve with new ownership

I would like to personally express my gratitude for John "Jack" Sowards exceptional work on this project. There were unforeseen challenges with the cabinet company and limited experienced workforce, but I am deeply appreciative Jack's unwavering support and effective communication throughout the process. His guidance was invaluable in navigating these obstacles. We are thoroughly delighted with our newly renovated kitchen.

Paul Davis restoration worked directly with my insurance company to restore my house to its original condition within 4 weeks of a very stressful water damage incident. They handled everything without the added stress of me having to figure it all out. Every person I came in contact with during the mitigation and repair was professional, courteous and genuinely nice. I was kept informed every step of the way and they went out of their way to ensure the job was done right. I can’t say enough good things about Paul Davis Restoration. Thank you!

Hired Paul Davis for restoration work brought about by water damage to our laundry/utility room. Had some communication and scheduling issues at first but as soon new management took over halfway thru the project, everything went smooth sailing. The new owner even came by to the work site to personally check on the work progress and see if we have any issues to address. Everything was restored to perfection! Very professional and knowledgeable team. Highly recommended!!
