We used Waterproofing One to install a new sump pump and drain system in our basement. Joe took the time to come out and explain and answer any questions we had. He gave us a fair price and his construction guys came out a week later. They were very professional and were in and out in 2 days. The guys took the time to to cover the floor, furniture and even the walls so they wouldn’t get anything dirty and when they left at the end of each day they even wiped down the floor on their way out. I've used Waterproofing One for two projects, and overall, I'd say their services are average. The work gets done—and done quickly—but they do tend to cut corners and frequently overlook their own plans. For instance, on both projects, workers showed up on the day of the job asking me what needed to be done, despite the manager having already created a plan. Communication and organization are weak; the managers, including the owner Joe, can be unresponsive and disorganized. It's also not uncommon to hear excuses like hospital or dentist visits when following up on project issues or invoice discrepancies. If you choose to work with them, your project will likely get completed, but expect a bumpy process and some unnecessary hassle. Unfortunately, this kind of experience seems fairly common with contractors these days, but with a bit of patience and research, I believe you can find someone better.

Our 1960-built house has a 650 SF dirt crawlspace that takes in a lot of water, and it was time to address it. A co-worker had recommended Waterproofing One after having had a good experience with them in 2020. Frank came on-site on 12/16/23 and walked us through his recommendations. He was not overly pushy to upsell given we had shared that we don't plan to be in this house long-term, but feel we owe the next owners a decent solution. He shared a detailed estimate on 12/18/23 which included a French drain, sump pump, battery back-up, carbon fiber straps to fix foundation cracks, pointing and stucco for exterior cracks, and re-routing of gutter downspout discharges. We had some questions which he was quick to answer throughout the week, and we committed to using Waterproofing One on 12/22/23. We scheduled for 12/27/23, and the crew arrived at around 9:00 AM. The crew on the first day were very polite and thorough. The only unexpected issue was that it would not be a one-day job as the conditions outside were too wet for the exterior work. Once they had completed the interior work, they walked me through what they had done, and showed me how the sump pump and battery back-up works. They were very thorough in cleaning up the site - you wouldn't know that such extensive work had been done by the way my property looked once they left. The exterior crew arrived unexpectedly (but thankfully) the next morning around 7:45 AM. Again, they did a nice job and cleaned up after themselves before leaving around mid-afternoon. The color matching on the stucco and pointing was not perfect, but good enough I suppose. All in all, it was a good experience working with Waterproofing One. They were fast, thorough, clean, and reasonably priced. I would recommend having them quote any interior/exterior waterproofing jobs.

Waterproofing one came out this week for a ton of stuff. French drain, sump pump, repaired basement walls, and outdoor system. They did a great job and were very clean. They even helped me move the heavier stuff out of the way and set up a good amount of protective barriers. They were very thorough with the work that they did. Before signing the contract, Joe, the owner, sat with me and answered all of my questions without rushing through any descriptions. Enough so that I noticed that the crew missed a minor step in the wall repair and they came back out to do it over. He stood by his word. Regarding the outside work: a huge trench was dug along my house where the slab foundation is and after they put it all back together you could barely tell that it was done. They even cleaned out my gutters at no extra cost. I would recommend them.
