I rarely write reviews (mostly out of laziness), but this experience truly deserves all the praise. When my dog destroyed my Versace shoes, I was devastated and convinced they couldn’t be saved. After some research, I came across this business and reached out right away. Not only were they incredibly friendly and helpful, but they restored my shoes flawlessly. They mentioned they would do their best to match the heel color, yet the result was so perfect that I genuinely can’t tell which shoe was damaged unless I already knew. The color match is impeccable. I highly recommend their services. I’ve included before and after pics to showcase their remarkable craftsmanship.

I’m beyond disappointed with Modern Leather Goods. I sent my shoes in for repair expecting the “quality craftsmanship” they advertise, but the experience has been a nightmare. Not only were my shoes returned in terrible condition, but I went back three different times and each time they did absolutely nothing to fix the issue. The staff kept assuring me it would be taken care of, yet the shoes came back looking the same — if not worse. For a company that promotes “top-tier service and expert repairs,” this was a complete waste of time, money, and patience. There’s zero accountability or attention to detail. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I sent a Gucci tote in for a luxury purse spa treatment. I requested to have the leather trim replaced and new leather handles cut. To the tune of $600. The work is shoddy at best, particularly in the stitching of the handles (see photos.). They also replaced the original GUCCI silver hardware with yellow tone hardware. So now I have some silver hardware and some gold hardware on the same purse, which looked awful. Tony was gracious enough to have me send the purse back. He did replace the hardware so that it matched the other silver hardware, however nothing was done about the shoddy handles. I reached out to him again and included photos, which I’ve included in this review I never heard back from him. The stitching is sloppy and uneven. I could’ve had this done locally for much less. I’m very disappointed and I feel defrauded. I would not trust modern leather goods to repair a luxury item again.

I sent in two Tory Burch flats I love that I wear to work. They fixed the bow on the first one and repaired the scuffed fronts. They resoled and repaired the fronts of the leopard print pair. They went over all the work before doing it and they look brand new even though they are almost 10 years old! I would highly recommend them! I included before and after pictures.

My rather new Samsonite suitcase somehow lost a zipper. After much back and forth I was told to take it to Modern Leather Goods. I had expected that it would take a bit of time to put on a new zipper and that it would not be cheap but my assumption was, happily, all wrong. The lovely man at the counter explained that sometimes when the people are handling luggage they pull quite hard on the zips which can then cause them to retract underneath the shell. I was told if he could pull out the zip it would take about two ticks and there would be no charge! And that is what happened! How amazing that a business simply helps a customer in this way. I for sure will be back with any other repairs that I need. Thank you, thank you Modern Leather Goods!

Came in for a repair on my Samsonite suitcase. I’d been forewarned by another shop that the warranty is pretty limited so it’s very unlikely the repair would be covered, but the gentleman who helped me at Modern Leather was super gracious and knowledgeable. He quickly examined my bag, assured me it was definitely covered and explained my options and what would happen. I was in and out in 10 minutes. Highly recommend

I sent items to this place to be fix one had small stain on while the other was Kurt Geiger bag to spray the over the area that was stripping I had my bag with them for months now or now the guy from there who answers the phone called me stating he can get the bag out to me by couple of days because it’s finished and and had balance I said I had no problem to pay the balance but I had preferred to go in store and look my goods and see if there was any thing need to fix or wasn’t fixing after the payment was made I received my bags my MCM bag were the bag serial number was on gold plate tape came and had damaged to the area and while Kurt Geiger bag came back just like how I gave it to them nothing was done and call the them and explain the situation to the gentleman who answers the phone and he said he would investigate it and get back to me been calling there number numerous times and no answers and I called using another number and the man answered he was very rude, ignorant and disrespectful no he doesn’t know no form of customer service and doesn’t know how to talk to people I deal with people every and I have to talk them every also interact that’s my job so I know my tone and even when I’m trying to explain to him to remind him of whom I was pertaining to the products he was like mam mam stop shouting at me and I was like sir what are you talking about i understand I talk very fast but yelling at that’s one thing I will never do and yet although he said to bring with a very disrespectful and rude tone I would never bring back my stuff there because if I sent it you in the beginning to fix why sent it back to me if you couldn’t fix it in the first place and very deceitful take people money and don’t do the Right thing then he was so arrogant and hang the phone up in my ears but they all way say the higher some climb the higher they fall I know and learn to be humble and know how to talk to people because in life you don’t know who and who you are talking to . I will never recommend them base off my experience.

I’m not usually sentimental about things, but this one’s different. My grandmother bought me this leather duffel bag back in 2007, and after 18 years of travel and memories, it’s still going strong. The bag was made by the Day-Timer company—founded in 1947—but they stopped making luggage years ago. It originally cost around $200, but to me, it’s priceless. Recently, the bag developed a bit of damage, so I brought it into this repair shop. Since I’m so attached to it, I didn’t hesitate to spend $97 to have it fixed. The good news is that the repair itself was done extremely well—it’s structurally solid again and looks almost as good as new. However, I have to be honest: when it came back, the leather had several new scuffs and blemishes that weren’t there before. That was disappointing, especially for something I’ve taken such good care of over the years. That said, after a little care on my end—a treatment with pure mink oil—it’s looking much better and holding up beautifully. The marks are still faintly visible, but overall, I’m happy I decided to save it. I still get compliments on it whenever I travel, and knowing my grandmother gave it to me makes it all the more special. So while the repair work itself was strong, I do wish the finish had been handled with a bit more care. Still, I’m grateful to have my old companion back in one piece after nearly two decades on the road.
