I had an excellent experience with Groundworks, particularly with their Certified Field Specialist, James Riley. I purchased my home in 2022 and have noticed progressive cracks in the walls and bathroom that appear consistent with normal settling. During the recent cold spell, some of these cracks seemed to worsen, and although I suspected this wasn’t a major foundation issue, I wanted a professional assessment to understand how concerned I should be. James came out to evaluate the house, and from the start he took my concerns seriously. I had initially worried that, without a clear foundation failure, my situation might be dismissed—but that was not the case. James spent over an hour thoroughly inspecting the home and walking me through possible causes, what signs to monitor, and practical steps I could take moving forward. His explanations were clear, honest, and never alarmist. In addition to addressing my original concerns, he also evaluated my sump pump system and identified some issues that, while likely unrelated to the cracking, could be improved with a modified setup. I appreciated his thoroughness and willingness to look at the bigger picture of the home’s health. Overall, I was very satisfied with the evaluation and professionalism James provided. If I ever need foundation or waterproofing work in the future, I would not hesitate to contact Groundworks again based on this experience.

If I could give them zero stars I would. But unfortunately google wants me to lie so here goes. Work was “completed” at my home in December of 2024. They left so much junk in my card from concrete to many other things. They left rocks everywhere it’s damn near impossible to mow the lawn now without running over rocks. They agreed to be paid after the same of my home. Which was fine by me as I needed that. The moment the job was done they immediately started reaching out for payment (it takes a little list the property and get an offer) Nobody would offer on the property as it was sloped (they were supposed to life and stabilize the house and that was to address the slope per the sales person) Nick Bennis the sales person never spoke to me again after I signed the contract for the work to be done. They left cracks to my foundation completely unsealed (see photos) then told me to do it myself. They left an excavator on my property right next to the house for 2 weeks after the job. I will update this as thing progress with them. But I think it’s clear my story should make you stay very far away from Groundworks. The updates will be great trust me. I have screenshots of everything photos and videos all to come.

Timothy McGrath from Groundwork’s is an A Class individual. He recently completed an inspection of a crawl space for me and I could not have been more pleased with his professionalism, knowledge and patience as we reviewed his findings. His thorough analysis and presentation really made understanding the results and actions needed simple. I would recommend Timothy to all and groundwork’s, you have a great employee in Timothy. Thank you, Laurie Sharp

Patrick took the time to explain all the potential issues that could occur in a basement. He also explained how Groundworks would prevent the issues by installing waterproofing systems. After assessing the basement, getting meter readings for moisture and humidity levels; and taking the necessary measurements, he gave me a free estimate. He was very honest about the assessment and informed me about what I would need and what I don’t need in order to ensure a basement that’s waterproof. He also offered a few financing options. When I decide to move forward, I will definitely use Groundworks to complete the necessary jobs. I am very satisfied with the service I received.

Two teams worked on our home construction: lead Scott, Paul, Cedrick and Demin. Waterproofing team: lead Liam, Steve, Jeremy, Anthony and Terrance. It was quite the adventure. Once construction started issues with our home we're found. Scott explained everything that needed to be done and the additional expenses. The repairs were necessary to make our home safe. The team worked well together to make the overall experience smooth and pleasant. They put down protection of the floors and do a nice job with clean up, inside and outside our home. Highly recommend this team. Waterproofing- Liam kept us informed of progress, changes that needed to be made as to best solve the water drainage in our crawl space. The team was pleasant, knowledgeable and worked well together. Both team were respectful that I was working at my job as they worked on our home. Glad I reached out and made the call to BQ concrete. Salesman Charlie was also a pleasure to work with and explained what and how BQ could help us.

Five years into first time homeownership and I finally bit the bullet to waterproof my basement. From scheduling the free quote, to the initial estimate, to getting the work completed, I’ve had a genuinely great experience with Groundworks. Installation was today and Tarik Thompson and Danny Jackson were on time, professional, personable and worked hard nonstop. They let me know exactly what they were doing and kept me aware of their progress. I feel confident the work was done by experts and I will have a dry basement going forward. Overall, 10/10. Highly recommend.

I want to thank the Groundworks crew of Gilbert, Donald, and Hamilton for their excellent job pertaining to my sump pump and drainage system. Gilbert, the foreman, explained the problem with our existing system and how they would alleviate it. They began the work on a very hot and humid day. Because the job was so intricate and time consuming, they needed to return the next day. When the work was finished, Gilbert took the time to explain what they did. He also sent us pictures of their work, in case they are needed in the future. Additionally, they put back the grass they carefully removed while digging the trenches. In closing these gentlemen went beyond my expectations. It was truly a pleasure to have these conscientious and personable people working at my house. Frank Barletto
