Calling Camel City Restoration has been an absolute blessing and incredible experience. I had some water damage to my rear patio door and needed a new exterior door and new trim. Bryon Wilson ( the project manager I spoke with) even personally came out to oversee and assist with the installation. While doing so he showed what should’ve been done on the initial installation and what they would do to prevent the damage from recurring in the future. 5 out of 5 would recommend this team to ANYONE in need of restoration, fire damage, water damage or just even remodeling. Camel City Restoration helped me with very extensive damage to my house. I had two trees fall on my house a year apart. I was still getting the damage fixed from the first tree with a different contractor when the second tree fell. I fired the first contractor and hired Camel City Restoration to fix the damage from both trees. They helped me navigate the insurance issues from two different claims and gave me the peace of mind that it would be taken care of properly. It was the first time in two years that I felt like a contractor was working for me versus against me. With a majority of my house in shambles, they were able to get everything fixed and had me back in what felt like a brand new home in 6 months.

We experienced a potential water issue on our newly built auditorium stage at Friends Baptist Church, and from the very first conversation, their team was exceptional. I spoke with Danny Gelatt, who immediately took action and had someone on-site right away to assess the situation. He clearly explained the process and put us at ease. Shortly after, Christian and Angel arrived, installed the necessary equipment, and handled everything quickly and professionally. Thanks to their responsiveness and expertise, the issue was resolved so efficiently that it was as if it never happened. Preston and Bryon were absolutely outstanding, I was blown away by the quality of Camel City Restoration. I didn’t have a major emergency, just a small project, but they tackled it so well. In two days they completely rebuilt a cabinet for my kitchen under my sink which had some water damage and even repaired a previously cracked door. Very reasonably priced. They have great connections with plumbing as well and were so efficient. I would (and will) hire them back in a heartbeat. Shane and office staff were all amazing too.

My wife and I experienced a flood not long after we had completed a remodel of our kitchen and refinishing of our wood floors. I reached out to Kevin at Camel City Restoration to inquire about the work and immediately knew they were the company I would use. They were completely professional and I sensed their desire to do high quality work. We were assigned Todd as our project manager and like Kevin he was detail oriented and did a great job. Hopefully I never have another disaster in my home, but if I do, I will call Camel City Restoration immediately. Oh, and by the way, they finished the work the exact day they said they would. Great people, great company. I am happy that I found them.

Recently during a routine flooring installation, a large amount of mold was found under the existing flooring. The work was immediately stopped and at the recommendation of the flooring company, I called Camel City Restoration. Chris Heckman was on site to assess the situation within a few hours. This response time is unheard of in today’s business world. Chris remained my point of contact throughout the process. Everything was explained to me before it was started and they always did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it. Everyone was patient, kind and respectful. They worked with me to determine the best plan to restore my home at a price I could afford. I will be forever grateful to Chris and everyone who worked diligently to help get me back in my home as soon as possible. I can’t say enough good things about Camel City Restoration! A few months ago, my wife and I had a really bad day. We woke up to find a water line in our downstairs bathroom busted and decided to install a pool all throughout our first floor. Camel City had good reviews online so we called them up. They came out and cleaned up the water, set up fans and dehumidifiers, sprayed to prevent mold. Then they worked with us and our home owners insurance to get everything repaired. This isn't something people have to deal with regularly. We had no idea what we needed to do. Shane, Angel, Chris, Bryan; they were great. kept us informed of what was going on, what was next, and what to expect. They also helped us navigate our home insurance (who tried to say we should just replace the carpet padding, reuse the carpet which was destroyed; and then argued everything... we are switching insurers once the claim is finished). We ended up making a few changes from what was originally there which ended up looking AMAZING! Do i wish 1500 gallons of water in anyone's living room? No. definitely not. But stuff like that happens and I'm glad the folks at Camel City were able to help us out as well as they did.

I don’t know where to begin to express my satisfaction and appreciation of Camel City Restoration. I suppose I’ll start at the beginning. We had a water leak from our HVAC condensation drain. I wish I had called Camel City immediately But, being new to Winston Salem, I googled a mitigation company that was very disappointing. Luckily, our realtor told us about Camel City after the disappointing water mitigators. From the first meeting with the owner, Kevin, and Shane, I knew that we were in good hands. Both were extremely professional, honest, and supportive. Shane helped me navigate the insurance process and was a huge source of support throughout the process. I, jokingly, called Shane my therapist as he had to talk me off the ledge when I was extremely stressed by the insurance company’s lack of response or lack of understanding. Shane went above and beyond. Shane actually coached me on what to say and ask the insurance adjuster as the adjuster was, unfortunately, clueless. Shane constantly advocated for my husband and me to our insurance company to get them to pay for restoring our home to its previous quality. Shane also explained in detail everything that was happening as the demolition was happening and as the engineer was configuring how to remove a load bearing wall. Shane received countless texts from me and responded immediately. Todd was our project manager, who was also extremely supportive and explained everything in detail. I think Todd doesn’t sleep because he answered my 100s of e-mails and texts seven days a week. Todd also constantly validated that the process was stressful and tried to do whatever he could to make the process less stressful. I don’t recommend bothering Camel City as much as I did but they never seemed to mind. I think I can sum them up by saying I felt like their only client but I know I’m not their only client. Camel City is my forever restoration company. On a side note, Jenny from West End Cabinets designed the kitchen and she is a wizard with design and style. Jenny also advocated and supported me throughout the entire restoration process. It was Jenny’s idea to remove a wall and showcase our gorgeous windows. Jenny works for West End Cabinets but I thought she worked for Camel City at first because she was that dedicated to our project. Camel City Restoration FOREVER! P.S. I have already started another project with Camel City-replacing dry rotted wood on my front porch. Did I mention my house is 50 years old? CAMEL CITY FOREVER!
