Austin came out yesterday and lifted my sunken garage a lot. 1993 2 car garage and water kept leaking in and some major cracks were forming. They came, inspected, then got to work. My boys loved watching it inject and the “spider webs” cracks are sealed. I feel confident now the slab is stabilized and can support two heavy cars without further sinking. Great work and great to know if anything more sinks after a rain they come back out. Thousands of thanks!

We recently had some work done on our home by Tar Heel Basement Systems. We couldn’t be happier with the work they did for us. From our first meeting until the job completion, everyone was very professional, knowledgeable, and personable. Nathan was very informative and his inspection quickly found the issues with our floors subsystem. The guys that came out to do the floor leveling project were amazing. Charles, Noah, and DJ showed up when they said they would be here. They worked very diligently to get the job done on time and on budget. they were always cheerful, hard-working and pleasant to be around five stars is not enough to evaluate their performance properly. they took photos of everything they did and they shared the daily progress with us at the end of each day. They kept the work site clean. if I ever had problems like this in the future with my home, I will not hesitate to call Tar Heal Basement Systems. I would also recommend them to anyone who needs this type of work done on their home. We also had a leveling work done on our patio. Jess and Zach were amazing. They also showed on time, worked in an effective and efficient manner. They walked us through everything they were going to do. I watched long enough to watch the patio start to rise when were injecting the solution. Jess even got down on her hands and knees to clean the solution that had spilled on top of the slate. Again, these folks are well worth every penny and we appreciate their commitment to a quality job. Mike would be proud of the entire TEAM.

Isaiah and his two team members were excellent to deal with. Isaiah always called to let me know when they would be arriving. He kept me updated and informed of what they were doing at all times. Isaiah was courteous and respectful and didn’t mind answering any questions that I had. Isaiah and his team took pride in their work and always cleaned up after themselves. I would highly recommend Isaiah and his team.

I used them because I wanted to seal the crawl space and I had a couple small drywall cracks. They installed jacks, encapsulation, and dehumidifier. The home was built in 88 and had a few minor places where the drywall was cracking due to settling. After the foundation supports the cracks had grown exponentially and extended to the second floor. First issue; over the last 5 or so years I asked that it be addressed at the yearly service appointment. Each time they come they explain one or more of the jacks was loose and they had to tighten it and to “watch” the cracks. Why are jacks still settling after 5 years and why do I need to buy another service plan to have it addressed? They also said there were gaps that needed shims between the foundation and framing. After 5 years this was never addressed. They would now charge me to shim it. Second issue; the last service appointment I was told part of my crawlspace was too wet and they would need to charge me to install a duct on the dehumidifier. Again why wasn’t this done initially and now years later being brought up, I was given no clear answer. When they put down the vapor barrier there was no prep work done and no underlayment so it’s plastic on top of rough crushed stone. Seams are coming apart and I have punctures from work that has been done after the encapsulation. The sealing part is lack luster, there are tons of penetrations from plumbing and wiring they did not seal. I plan to put down underlayment and another layer of vapor barrier on top of it. They are more interested in selling you something rather than solving your problems.

I hired Tar Heel basement systems to lift some sunken concrete on my front porch and around my pool. The first issue is I booked the appointment a month in advance and the day of I had to call the office two times as it was getting past noon and no calls or nobody showed up. After the second call which came about 2:00 pm they said they got behind and wouldn’t be able to make it that day. I took the day off of work to be there. So we were told they would take $300 off the quote. They showed up a week later supposedly did some work and left. When I got home from work the areas they worked on were virtually unchanged. We received our bill from their finance company with no $300 discount. I have emailed them several times requesting that another crew manager or the overall manager of the business to please come out and look at the work and provide me their honest opinion on the previous crews efforts and to ask if anything else could be done. They emailed me back that someone would call me. They have not. So here I sit really not wanting to write this, but I don’t want anyone else to experience what we have. The work was incomplete, the customer service was non existent. They never followed through and at this point stopped responding to emails. I am at the point of contacting the BBB and the finance company to lodge a formal complaint. If I could go back in time I would never hire them as the work is substandard, the customer service before, during, and after was dismissive. Promises made were not kept. It felt that once they received payment they had no motivation to make things right. They sales people assured us that it wasn’t a big job and they could easily get the concrete back to the original height. This would be a simple job, so simple that the pool area alone didn’t meet their minimum threshold to be able to come out. That’s why we also added the porch area. Which wasn’t that bad and even that remained virtually unchanged. If a need ever arises for me to need work like this in the future I will never call them again. To summarize, missed appointments, promises to adjust bill that never happened, substandard workmanship, horrible customer service and communication. I’m left to feel taken advantage of and scammed.

He is personable, professional, thorough, and explains everything well. He made some adjustments to improve the efficiency of our dehumidifier system.
