They arrived on-time each day, fully prepared, full of energy and did a great job explaining and answering all of my questions. Paul Davis was our insurance's choice of restoration company to use after our water heater leaked and ruined all the flooring in our home. Our main contact, Nick Culver, was very helpful, communicative, and easy to work with throughout the whole process. The contractor's team who replaced our floors also did a great job. Their owner, Bruno, did a great job throughout the whole thing and his team did great work. There were a few spots that weren't perfect and they kept coming back out into it was all fixed. We even hired them to do replace our front door entry way to our home with a new front door and storm door - after Lowe's told us they wouldn't be able to do it! Overall we are very satisfied with Paul Davis' professionalism and the great work of their contractors.

If I could give our experience with this company, a negative rating, I would. We have used this company in the past with no issues on a previous home. When we had water damage under our refrigerator and had to have our flooring replaced in our current residence, we had no hesitations with going with this company again. Our general contractor, Nick, initially seemed very invested in making sure that the work was going to be done correctly and to high standards. However, this is not what we received. The crew that came in to do the flooring did a great job. So much so, that we decided to go ahead and have them also work on replacing our builders grade backsplash, and painting our cabinets in our kitchen. We were assured that the same crew that did the flooring was also capable of doing that work. During demo of the backsplash, drywall was compromised. In our contract, it stated that all drywall would be replaced prior to putting new tile on. The company placed tile over compromised drywall, causing it to give away when pressed on. Had we not investigated that on our own, we would’ve been left with tile that could easily be pushed through the wall if something were pressed against the backsplash. We immediately halted work and had Nick come out to investigate. He agreed that the work was shotty and needed to be replaced, but at this time, we did not feel comfortable with that same group coming in to potentially repeat the same mistakes. We did allow them to remove the tile placed and replace the dry wall, but We told Nick we wanted someone that was a dedicated tile company to do the work. After weeks of looking for someone else to do the tile, Nick said he wasn’t able to come in within our budget for tile and paint as originally discussed. At this point, we decided to sign off on the existing work and get our own tile and painter to come in. When Nick came back to have us sign off on the flooring, He had the audacity to ask for what little tile supplies were left. We were sitting on a kitchen that was essentially unusable, us having removed everything from the cabinets in prep for work to be done, dry wall exposed, outlets off, and you want to ask for a couple of boxes of tile back to recoup your extra costs for subcontracting work out to incompetent workers???? No sir. Our contract for what we agreed to pay included material costs, so no. Honestly, at that point, I was so ready to be done with that company, I did not even bring up the fact that we have a dent on the side of our new fridge and a scratch on the front of our dishwasher that we’re not there prior to his company coming to do work. Fast forward six months, this work is the gift that keeps on giving. Our toilet in the downstairs bathroom has been a little bit wobbly. Today, I had my husband husband try to fix it. They did not even bolt our toilet down to the floor when they replaced it after doing the floor in the bathroom. If you are looking for a company that will give you an excellent quote and that seems very thorough, but at the end cut corners in an effort to maximize their profitability, this is the company for you. If you were looking for a company that will quote you on doing excellent work, and actually deliver excellent, quality work, this is not the company for you. Below, you can see some of the compromised dry wall the had tiled over- this was after we stopped work and they came to replace drywall, but you can see the holes they simply tiled over. Also, the other pic shows the bolt for the toilet that was never installed correctly and literally, the bolt just pulled out.

I had to have a very large window that developed a leak that caused some of the frame to expand and some of the inside sheetrock to stain. I asked Paul Davis and one other company to bid, both bids were essentially the same cost but Paul Davis had come out with project managers and contractors to look at the damage and discuss the plan of attack, and wrote a comprehensive plan to get it done. I kicked them off, they scheduled the work and buying the required wood pieces for the repair (some custom milling invovled) and sealed the outside immediately... for the inside, we scheduled a different day. They came with a team that took precautions to protect our belongings, did the demo work/repair work/plaster/paint - all in one day. The results were perfect, paints matched, the window looked like it did when the house was new. I waited for several weeks before writing this review to see if there was any sign of continued problem and there has not been. These folks were very easy to work with, they worked around my scheduling requirements and all-around did a wonderful job.
