Never had a doubt in my mind that I would be well taken care of. I had all colors of mold from a summer long leak in the house. They were quick, efficient, and I was back in my house in four days. My house was sweep clean ready for my contractor to come in and rebuild. I cannot be any happier.

Update 8/27/2025: Desiree reached out to me this morning about my review, she apologized for the way the job went and the miscommunication. She offered to send a different crew out to fix any issues that I still had with the work her team completed. She also said that a refund check was sent out last week and that I should receive it soon. I received an apology for that aswell. My experience with Paul Davis Restoration was not even close to what I expected. My Insurance company referred me to them so I expected to receive good quality work. The communication was very poor from the start. They never once reached out to me even after I told them I wanted to get a contract so I could be put on their schedule. I called multiple times within a few weeks and eventually a contract was sent to me. I signed it and sent them the money they asked for( a little over 3k). I didn’t hear anything back for over two weeks, so i called the company and was told they didn’t realize that I had already paid my down payment. I was told someone would call to get me on the schedule. About an hour later I received an email telling me that I needed to sign my contract and submit the down payment for the amount that I already paid them. I ignored it and waited for them to reach out to me. Once again no one from the company reached out to me. After a week of waiting I called them and stayed on the phone until I was put on the schedule. When the crew showed up to do the work they did not have the right equipment to complete the job (painting a vaulted ceiling). I had to loan them my ladder, circular saw, and I even gave them some paint to use. I informed them several times of what my insurance company was paying for but all of that was ignored, and I was told I don’t deal with the money side. I took 2 days off work so there was no excuse as to why the job was done half ass. The crew left half way through the 2nd day and my home was left worse than before Paul Davis did their work. I called and told them I was going to hire a painter I could trust to fix their mistakes and was told that I would be credited the money that was being charged to paint my ceiling so after deducting the amount I still owed for the work I would get a small check. It’s been almost a month and I have yet to see a check from them. I’ve called twice a week and left messages on multiple Paul Davis phones since the work was completed but never heard back from anyone. Last week I was finally able to get ahold of someone, they were surprised I didn’t receive the $200 credit yet, and I was told they would get it sent out. It’s been weeks since I hired someone else to come fix their mistakes ( which I had to take another 2 days off work). They did not seem concerned about the poor quality work I received and didn’t seem to care that they were still taking $2800 of my insurance money to repair a small section of a door frame, paint it with my paint, mud and tape a small crack above my hall (crack is already showing) used my paint to cover it up, mud and tape a crack on my vaulted ceiling ( did not blend well), paint 1 bedroom (had to be repainted) and paint half the vaulted ceiling and if it didn’t blend they would half to paint the entire ceiling (had to be repainted). The pictures I’m posting is of the way my home was left.

After the March tornado in Arnold I required work done on my house. As a first time home owner, I had no clue what to do. I reached out to Paul Davis and Desiree and Chris were amazing. They were able to hire subcontractors to come and get the work done. There were some hiccups along the way and a ridge vent had to be added after the roof was completed, but any time I had an issue, they responded immediately with me to fix the problem. They are easy to get a hold of and any time I left a message, I heard back quickly. From my understanding, that's not always the case with my companies. If you need work done, call Paul Davis! They will make sure the work is done well.

Update: Its 3 months later and they claimed they didnt receive payment from my insurance company yet the insurance company submitted payment twice. There are currently 2 jobs outstanding ‐------------ Old review from the 1st contact 3 months ago: He arrived on time, respected the home, wore his mask, and did what he said he would do. We still have more work for them to do before the job is complete, but so far, so good.

They were sent out by my insurance company after I filed a claim and literally only hooked up two dehumidifiers which I told them I DID NOT need because it wouldn't do anything and I had my own they told me per insurance request I needed to let them sit for 24 hrs . My insurance then denied the claim and refused to pay them for these dehumidifiers running for 24 hrs so they came after me a single mom with 4 kids for the payment when I told them I didn't hire them and would not pay for what insurance requested and to go after insurance they out a mechanic lien on my home ... Complete jokes and literally don't care about their customers at all money hungry insurance scam artists at best ..

Edit: 3/20/25 Someone higher up at Paul Davis reached out to me promptly after I posted my review. They mentioned they never get these complaints from this location. They were eager to make things right. The Herculaneum crew came back out and tried again to patch the huge hole in our roof and removed more dry wall. They brought new tarps and tarped over the old one. They were all very kind and professional. Original review: We had a Paul Davis crew out last week for the March 14th storms, our home has quite a bit a damage. They did some work but used a tarp we owned and my neighbors tools because they're tools were dull. They tarped our roof terribly and now we have even more damage.

Update to respond to owners response- The time it took to do this job was not just because of a delay at the beginning it was throughout the job. Very poor communication as I mentioned was a big part of this delay. As to our floor being redone. It was redone after the flooring sub contractor and my insurance company fought with John to get it done. He wanted to put wood glue in it and then sand and stain in the middle of our great room. The entire main level was not redone just the great room and hallway. My main level prior to this had matching hardwood floors. I now have a lighter color in the great room and hallway that matches but the 3 bedrooms on this level are different colors where prior it all ran together one color. Our electrical problems were caused by not hiring an electrician and having a employee do the wiring. When I connected with John and explained the improper wiring his response was "lesson learned". Really? I have metal conduit pipe on the back of my house because you didn't hire an electrician to begin with and instead of taking out a brand new kitchen to redo wiring done wrong they drilled into the back of my house. I feel like you may not be in the loop as to decisions made by your project manager and whoever was his new boss at the close of this project. However I can tell you I sent numerous emails to Chris and NEVER got a response from him. This is were frustrations come in with customers. Your staff that worked on the house did their best, maybe not trained well definitely not electricians, their trucks not stocked with the tools they needed to do the job, or not having supplies they needed was what we noticed. Its done and we would like to forget this ever happened. Its hard to have closure when you feel you have been wronged and the company doesn't care. I do appreciate that you apologized it was the first time someone from your company has. Orig review We had a contract with them to restore our kitchen after water damage. It took over a year. Throughout the whole process communication was a huge issue. Emails were completely ignored, including towards the end of the project when emails were directed to the owner and included questions and problems. Our hardwood floor was gouged by them, electrical work was done incorrectly and in an unsafe manner, the issues are just too many to mention them all. They had to hire an outside electrician and they were at my home for over 8 hours trying to fix what Paul Davis did. I would definitely not recommend this company. In closing all that we went through all of the problems they NEVER even had the decency to apologize. 1st photo open air splice, which is not allowed 2nd photo white power cord used which isn't allowed. This is a new dishwasher that came with the proper cord to hook up.

I wish our experience was a positive one. Months after my insurance company hired them, we had to find another company to get our house put back together.

This was an insurance claim and very hesitant with this company at first considering I would say they are not "local" to our area. Joe alleviated our concerns right away with great customer service and making sure our damaged home was taken care of. Joe was very communitive throughout the process and kept us at ease every step of the way. Would recommend based solely off of the great customer experience provided by Joe!
