Sadly I cannot recommend this company. I hired them in 2022 with promises of completely dry basement. Over the last three years they have been back out at least 4-5 times to "re-shoot" the perimeter. We paid almost $13,000 and as of this writing it is almost no better than when they started. We are pursuing another solution. I did call my contact (who has always been responsive and pleasant) and asked them to consider a rebate. "We don't do that", was the response. Very disappointed in the results, or lack of them, that we received. We have since hired an attorney who sent them a request for refund, no response. We have contacted the BBB, HBA and GR Chamber. We will continue to pursue. Also, they list the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce, according to the GRC they are not members and haven't been since 2016! Contacted the BBB and they refused to respond to them as well. Funny, below they responded to a client no no justification on our cause. On to court.

Horrible company… they are not interested in fixing your issues.. been 3 years .. they kept coming out and charging me more money… finally after the 4th time they said there was nothing else they could do… said it was the landscaping ? Landscaping never changed from when the quoted and guaranteed they could resolve the issue.. I would NOT recommend them.. if they couldn’t fix it they should not have excepted the job… IF it was the landscaping why did they not say that $10,000 dollars ago?? Unethical company and should be ashamed of themselves.. zero stars

Absolutely horrible! Do not use this company They will take advantage of you. You will pay for a dry basement but you will not have a dry basement. My mom has been dealing with them since 2020. First system they put in failed so they came out to do a new system. That one has failed too. Now when you call they tell you that a professional is supposed to clean your sub pump every year and if that doesn't happen then it may fail ( with an attitude in her voice). I Told her we had it cleaned by a professional and the walls were still leaking everywhere and she told me we didn't own the company in 2020 when it was originally done sorry we can't help you. If you buy a company you have some type of obligation to the customers that have used that company and still under warranty.. Take advantage of the elder. Update: owner finally called to say he was going to send somebody over to check out my problem. Wow what another horrible experience. He wanted to argue with me about the system not being clean properly and that's why it's not working even though it never worked properly since they installed it. 🤦🏼‍♀️.. run run far away

We have had an excellent experience with Great Lakes waterproofing. From the first call to explain our situation through the installation of the waterproofing material inside our house and out , the team was professional, knowledgeable, and willing to answer all of my questions. The clean up in the basement was outstanding. We have used this company before with great results And I am fully confident that the repair they did to the crack in our foundation will be every bit as great.

I spent over $10,000 with Great Lakes Waterproofing to eliminate rain water in 3 areas in my basement. After 4 1/2 years, all 3 spots still leak. I have called, sent emails and videos to Charlie Hill and Brad Rowgo. I have requested a full refund, which they have denied. They want me to settle for $1,200 and now blame my landscaping that has not changed in 10 years. They also tried selling me a sump pump package. REALLY There’s nothing wrong with my sump pump. I will say the fastest response by Great Lakes Waterproofing was the first visit with their salesman Don Joyner. He showed up and guaranteed me a dry basement, just sign the contract. LIFETIME WARRANTY ! The only guarantee I have is that next time it rains, I’ll have water in my basement. BE INFORMED…BEWARE

Save your money and energy and go somewhere else. This company is extremely unprofessional. Once you signed the contract and they do the initial servicing that is supposed to have a warranty, they will then block your number, so that if you have any ongoing issues you will not be able to reach them. $2800.00 and more wasted. Basement continues to get water every time it rains floors and walls damaged badly. So much for a warranty

Last year, our industrial facility had a series of leaks though the walls our basement, where we stocked critical inventory. Bob Reminga from Great Lakes Waterproofing Solutions met with our Facilities Manger and came up with an economical non destructive way to waterproof the area. No digging, fast, complete cleanup,!

I was provided a waterproofing inspection on August 16, 2024. I texted my inspector 5 days later and again 6 days later for an estimate. He was sorry for the delay but even he could not get the information from headquarters. It's been over 3 weeks now and it appears this company is not interested in my business. I hope future customers look at this companies reviews before you purchase their services. It's not just me warning you, it's also many others. I will not pursue this company again. Thank god I did not select them.

I had my basement “fixed” by Great Lakes a couple years ago. They used bentonite clay. The first visit went well I thought. They said if it kept leaking to give them a call and they would fix it. Sure enough after a few months I still had a leaky basement. The said they would send the crew back out again. The crew consisted of 1 younger kid. He said he redid the procedure and if there was still any issue of leaking that it meant there was a foundation issue. He wasn’t here very long and said he was done. My basement is still leaking and he didn’t even cover the corner that leaked so badly. Now my family has to call in another company to do the job I already paid $13,000 for.
