We recently hired Vin's for a major backyard renovation project, and they crushed it! Cannot recommend these guys enough. We had them remove our inground concrete pool, regrade our entire backyard, and lay down fresh sod. We were amazed at the final product. They were super attentive throughout the entire process, provided fair pricing, and completed the work quickly and efficiently. The entire project was complete in about 4 days! They even went above and beyond when repairing our front yard that was damaged from the large equipment.

My husband and I highly recommend Vin's Total Care Landscaping. They have helped improve our yard on two occasions this year. The work we asked them to do for us on both projects was excellent. We had great communications with the company, by email, by phone and in person. Andrew, his foremen, Noel and Calvin, and later in our most recent project, Chris, were all focused on doing what we asked, making sure everything fit well and achieving the look we wanted. We are very happy with their work. We look forward to having them help us with other projects in the future!

Vin's was absolutely wonderful. Their work was excellent and they were a pleasure to work with. We were specifically impressed with their attention to detail and their ability to understand what we were looking for and make that come to pass. Andrew is amazing. He combines experience, expertise, creativity with an eye for aesthetics and a commitment to doing things right. We look forward to working with Vin's again in the not-too-distant future.

I can't say enough about working with this company. I had a couple projects, one was not a run of the mill. Turned out, we needed to do a fair amount of collaboration as the project progressed. Andrew was awesome from coming out to estimate the job to stopping by and checking how things were coming throughout. Also Calvin and his team went above and beyond. There were no shortcuts, actually, they would do things at 110%. I do appreciate the customer service and the project interaction,so many times companies will quote a project and then the person who does the quote never comes by after that. This is not the case.I would a absolutely use this company again.

Vin's Fall/Winter cleanup team did not adhere to the agreed upon review of with the estimater, subsequent agreed upon E-Mails and the contract: cutting Hellabore EVERGREEN perennials (17' long stretch), blowing mulch from gardens. Further, one job they cut growth branches on a 25 year old Holly when they were to only trim it. Another job, they failed to complete down hill gully with river rock that Vin's later completed free of charge. For the discerning gardener, check on all fronts agreements and monitor work. Back in Nov. 2020 we contacted Vin's Total Care Landscaping to get a patio installed, along with some drains in the yard and downspouts buried underneath the ground since we were having issues where water would pool up in our backyard. Vincent recommended we use bluestone because of its natural, beautiful look. We agreed. --- Vincent's crew came out about 5 months later to do the work. The end result was fantastic. I attached some photos to show the journey. They had to work in some pretty damp conditions at times which tore up the ground good, but they did a excellent job leveling it all back out and putting new seed in. You can't tell they ever dug through it. --- There were a couple miscommunications during the install, but Vincent addressed them quickly and made sure we were satisfied. --- We also had his crew come out and add some concrete under the pavers and install a gazebo over top of the patio. --- 2.5 years later, the patio is holding up well. There is one spot that sunk where the steps start, but I haven't reached out yet to get that fixed. --- If you need exterior work, whether landscaping or hardscaping, I wouldn't hesitate to reach out to Vincent. He is very responsive, professional and kind. --- Aside: Two things I would like to note to others who may be considering blue stone. Yes, it is beautiful. But, understand that with that beauty comes caveats. As the freeze/thaw comes, the stone will "flake" or "shed" thin pieces. Also, because blue stone is essentially compressed sand, you'll see sand start to accumulate over top of the stone which is ugly. But it washes away quite easily. This is all completely normal, but was not something I knew about beforehand so when I saw our new pavers flaking, I was very concerned. If I knew this beforehand, I would have considered using a different material such as stamped concrete. Two, polymeric sand is used to fill the gaps in the pavers. This is standard practice. But just know that polymeric sand has a short lifespan. In our case, it lasted a little less than a year before deteriorating away. I now have numerous gaps where the sand has washed away. So just know that it will require maintenance.

They removed an old wooden retaining wall running along the driveway and sidewalk and installed a new stacked bluestone wall. The new wall is very attractive and a major improvement in curb appeal. The firm is very responsive. Vin answered e-mails promptly. The team arrived when scheduled, worked very hard and finished the job quickly. They left the area very clean.

I contacted Vin’s Total Care Landscaping for a simple estimate to install a small gravel pad (about 10×12 ft) for a light-duty garden shed. The company quoted approximately $3,000–$4,000 without providing a detailed breakdown of material or labor. When I asked for clarification and shared fair market ranges for similar work in Howard County (around $1,300–$2,200 for this scope), I was told this was their “minimum standard” and that they could not provide a line-item estimate. While the communication was polite, the approach felt rigid and out of step with customer expectations. The project scope expanded beyond what I requested, and I was not given meaningful input on how it would be priced or built. Homeowners seeking straightforward, transparent estimates for modest landscaping projects may want to compare other providers before proceeding. UPDATE: I received an estimate for the project from a local competitor for $2100. This estimate included a line item break down of material and labor.
