This is one of the best companies in the entire state of Maryland and the DMV. They are very efficient and very professional. Totally recommended for any type of work. My best references. American Water damaged is the best company doing reconstruction. They always provide high-quality care to their clients, protecting and covering their belongings in their homes, and are very organized and clean. They rebuild quickly, and I'm completely happy with their work. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The technicians were all very nice and professional. However, I had multiple issues from start to finish. Based on all of this, I would strongly recommend against using American Water Damage. 1. During the initial inspection after the plumber called them, the individual completing the inspection gave the impression that American Water Damage would complete both the demo and repairs. For example, when asked about the ceiling repair, he said, “We’ll paint the whole ceiling.” It wasn’t until after the demo was complete and my insurance adjuster reached out to American Water Damage that I found out that they do not do repairs in Pennsylvania. This was very frustrating as it required me to find a new company to complete the repairs after the demo was already complete, and had I known this in the beginning, I likely would have hired another company to complete both the demo and repairs. 2. One of the dehumidifiers left by American Water Damage leaked all over, leaving more water damage than what was there originally. This required new equipment for additional days. I’m not sure if this was due to faulty equipment or human error when setting it up, but in either case it was the fault of American Water Damage, as they should have ensured the equipment was good working condition before leaving. When I called to ensure my insurance company is not billed for the additional days the new equipment was here, they took a message for Kyle to review and follow up with me, but I never received a call back. 3. Every single time the technicians came out, they were late. The first time, they arrived 45 mins after the scheduled 2 hour window. The second time, they were 2.5 hours after the scheduled window. The third time, after I was explicit when scheduling that I want to ensure they arrive in the scheduled window, they were 15 mins late. It was only the last time that they reached out 10 mins before the window ended to let me know they were running late. The first two times, I had to call them to ask when they would arrive, after which they called back 20-40 mins later. Overall, it was a terrible experience with American Water Damage, and I would strongly recommend not using their services.

I had this company come out to take care of possible water damage from a burst water hose outlet. They did not explain much of anything and made me quickly sign a work authorization that scared me. I asked them for a copy of the estimate and they continued to say not to worry about it. I have no idea how much the job cost. In fear I reached out to another local company of good reputation. The company came out and did their own inspection they took a ton of photos and readings and have provided that all to me. None of my insulation in my belly wrap was removed. Everything in the immediate area was still reading wet. This is a disaster and I feel taken advantage of. I do not recommend this company to anyone.

1/6/26…. This is my 2nd review for this company. I had the privilege to have my items returned and on the truck I had Juan, Joe, Chris and Mardorney assist me. The guys came in unloaded and assisted me in every way I needed help. Mardorney was the supervisor helping and without his patience I probably would’ve lost my mind. Thank you guys for all of your help. Marty, I appreciate the company for coming in quickly to access the situation while I was out of the country and get to work as quickly as you all did. Thank you and Chris especially for 6/4/2025. Of all the days that I have been dealing with my water damage that began 5/30, 6/4 was the hardest day with the pipe busting. I also wanted to thank you both for helping to remind me… I wasn’t alone in my situation and you two gentlemen were there to help me out and actually do all the work that was required. Thank you l 🙏🏽🧡

The worst company I've ever seen. No communication, no return calls, my toilet and items sat in my front room for over 2 years and eventually I stopped using them. The workers cracked the shower stall floor piece and glued it back while trying to hide it from me, and never did tell me about it. They installed the shower stall with putting the greenboard behind it, measurements weren't correct so they had to come back out to remeasure after mitigation was already complete and paid for, they left purchased expensive items in front yard leaning against my deck over night, never bringing them in the house, and was way to heavy an item for me to bring in, vanity size came in wrong size but still installed, there were no shows, they took my current fawcett from the bathroom vanity when taking vanity out to be replaced while the fawcett was brand new I had just purchased and they lost it never to be returned, etc., etc. I won't even go into the black mold issue. Per the website it states they do a "step-by-step mold remediation process" which was never done, nor anything else mentioned about testing for mold was done, even though black mold was found by the plumber. Air wasn't tested, surfaces weren't swabbed, etc. And when making a call to head of remediation to talk about my concerns, believe it or not he actually said what is stated about this process on their website has NEVER been done. He didn't know what I was even talking about. So I suggested he talk to person in charge of making their website to let them know what this says they do. I mean they are a Water Damage Company..... This list goes on and on. This type of thing went on for two years, even after having over an hour meeting with the head of rebuild department (which I think may be one of the two who run the company). He was supposed to take over the job when I told him to take the other guys off the job who were overseeing, but it got worse. This list doesn't even touch the surface of issues I had.

Professional, punctual men came to do something i never could--get in and out of my crawlspace. They removed water from and dried out the site of a leak from a deteriorating water heater, and remediated minor mold damage. It was a pleasure to do business with them, I particularly appreciated their efforts to handle the resulting insurance claim much better than I ever could.

American Water Damage — Communication Failure from Start to Finish On Thursday, the day of their visit, I called American Water Damage to follow up. Their answering service picked up, but no one ever returned my call. I called again on Friday, twice, no response. By the following Monday, instead of providing the results of their inspection, they texted asking if I still wanted them to come and evaluate the situation. I replied immediately, reminding them they’d already been there and asking what they found. Their response? A cryptic, jargon-filled text I couldn’t understand. I told them clearly: I need a plain explanation of the problem and a price. By Tuesday, still nothing. I sent one last message, basically saying: If you want my business, tell me what’s wrong, what you propose to do, and what it will cost—within 24 hours. On Wednesday, silence. No call, no email, no estimate. Nothing. Since it had already been a week of nothing, and it was 2 hours before the close of the business day, I decided I'd had enough and I would not wait the full 24 hours to write this review. This company lost my trust before they ever had a chance to earn it. I don’t know how you can do business like that — it makes no sense. When a company fails this badly before the job even starts, it doesn’t inspire confidence in the quality of their work. Meanwhile, the worst part is, my problem persists. If I could give zero stars, I would.

When they came in and literally broke the gate in my fence by pushing it the wrong way. They ripped the bracket off the pole. I told him about it. My service dog keeps getting out because it's not attached and they said well I call and they said well we don't know anybody that knows anything so we're going to send a message to somebody and hopefully they'll tell us what to do. Yeah they get that kind of runaround when all they needed to do is come out. Fix the fence have documentation? Yeah these aren't the people you want to go through. They wreck your property

Kyle was at our home quickly, removed the affected ceiling board, and set up the drying equipment. He was very professional, friendly, and efficient. We're very pleased.
