Highly recommend Gustavo and his crew. He helped us with a water damage restoration project and got everything back in shape fast. Very professional clean work and good communication. While there he also helped optimize some bathroom vanities faucets and toilets with the help of his plumber Carlos and moving forward he provided video of the pipes he insulated to prevent them from freezing again. Most of the project got taken care of while I was out of town and when I got back home everything was left clean and in order.

We worked with Gustavo on our ceiling soundproofing and drywall after having to let our initial choice go. We were in a time crunch and considering scrapping the whole project until we found Element. We did a lot of research when choosing our replacement but Gustavo made it an easy choice. It was one of the best decisions we've made for our home. One of the most helpful things he did was show us detailed photos and videos of similar projects he did in the past and he shared them the same evening we met and had a quote to us in within a couple days that was really detailed. I had some small amendments and he happily worked through them so the scope of work was crystal clear along with pricing. Gustavo was thorough, kept us informed, and was collaborative as we worked through drywall and soundproofing work. During the initial meeting, he listened to the approach we wanted to take even though it was slightly different than what he had done before and the end result was fantastic. He gained some familiarity with a different system and we got a great result! His team even identified some areas that needed to be replaced and the entire process was smooth even when we received what most would consider bad news. His delivery of the necessary updates to the scope of work was timely, reasonably priced, and communicated to us clearly when we met with him on site to go through the changes. It didn't delay the work and it was clear he had our best interests in mind. Gustavo was great. He was really patient with me and my poorly explained plans and my awful drawings. He worked with me each step of the process as I asked for changes and made additional requests. I had a wall that needed to be torn down and reshaped to hold a new countertop and the end result was very well built, that wall is going nowhere. I was very happy with the attention to detail since made sure that everything was done properly and to my satisfaction. I could not be more pleased with the final result and the entire process. We found Gustavo on Anji and were pleasantly surprised that he surpassed even the glowing reviews he had on there. Our upstairs neighbor had a washer overflow, since it was a condo job we had 3 insurance companies involved and he navigated that very well. He worked with us to make sure everything was to our liking and even came back after our floors were refinished to touch up the baseboards, even though he did not really have to. We will definitely be using him again in the future.

We've used Element for two separate plaster repair projects now, and have been absolutely delighted by the results. The second project--a ceiling repair that turned out substantially more complicated than anyone had expected--could have been a nightmare with another contractor. I was impressed by the level of communication and professionalism that Gustavo showed throughout, and by the way that he and his team worked quickly and diligently to produce beautiful results with less of a delay than we had initially feared. When our kitchen ceiling begin to leak n the middle of winter, I was faced with the daunting task of finding someone honest, reliable, and detailed to fix the problem and remodel our kitchen. I couldn’t be happier with our experience with Gustavo and Element Drywall and Painting. To begin, Gustavo is a perfectionist. He paid attention to every detail and ensured that the project wasn’t just completed – but that it was completed perfectly. If this meant that he had to stay late on the project to make sure it met his exacting standards, then he did it without question. Second, Gustavo was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. He gave an honest estimate and then worked very hard to stick within budget. Notably, he didn’t take any action without getting approval from me first so that there were no surprises when it came to the bill. Third, Gustavo worked quickly. I was amazed at how fast he got set up, got to work, and then cleaned up when everything was over. He never wasted a minute and was cognizant of the fact that a large project in our home was disruptive. Therefore, he made sure that he did everything as quickly and efficiently as possible, and took every precaution to make sure that any resulting mess/dust/fumes didn’t spread beyond the construction zone. Fourth, Gustavo always went the extra mile. Although we hired him to fix the kitchen, as soon as he recognized that the leak was coming through a crack in the exterior brick – he took quick action to seal the crack and prevent any further damage. When he noticed that the truss in our ceiling had water damage, he figured out a solution to prevent our ceiling from later sinking in. When he was worried that water may have seeped into the floor below, he went to the lower floor to inspect the possibility of whether there was any water damage that we may have missed. Fifth, Gustavo was honest when he felt like there were parts of the project that were beyond his experience. For example, we learned that water had seeped behind our kitchen cabinetry, requiring us to remove all the cabinets to inspect for mold. Gustavo found someone who was qualified to immediately come out and assist with the project rather than take it on himself. In doing so, he saved us time/money by getting someone on the job who could help. Finally, Gustavo is just a good person. He’s extremely kind and considerate. He always offered to bring me coffee in the mornings and, one day, he even brought my kids ice cream as a surprise. He was never forceful or aggressive about any decision we needed to be made. Instead, he took the time to explain the options and relay the costs. I feel incredibly lucky to have found Gustavo and Element Drywall and Painting. If you have any type of project – big or small – I have no doubt you will be happy you chose them.

Gustavo and his team were great in terms of attention to details, communication and estimate. They really walk me through best solutions and materials. They are ontime and on budget.
