I've had to do a bunch of work on my basement in the last few months, and the best experience I've had has been with Mark and Northern IL waterproofing. We had basement windows replaced, foundation cracks repaired, window wells dug out and drains installed. If you're looking for a family business where they explain the work that needs to be done, follows through to the T, does excellent work, and is a pleasure to work with, look no further. These guys are amazing. They solved water issues in my previous home as well as my current one. They have performed many services: digging a trench at the old house, replacing a sump pump in the new one, cleaning and repairing window wells and installing covers, installing new basement windows, and sending a friend of theirs to replace a hose spigot. Water in a finished basement is always a homeowners nightmare. So with a break in the rain I hit the web and found this gem. I also spoke to a friend Who used the business and said they were fantastic. I called and spoke to Dawn and she made arrangements to get a crew to me the following day (today) , Dawn couldn’t have been kinder or more understanding This morning a crew showed at the agreed time. Mark , Matt and another gentleman. They got right to work and almost immediately located the monster foundation crack. It was an old one so they had a little more work to do. They treated my house like their own and were done in very reasonable amount of time even leaving me time to get other things done around the house. Tldr: Quick, reliable, and honest. I called to get some cracks in my unfinished basement checked since they were close to important stuff like the furnace, water heater, etc. They came by the end of the week, and looked at all my concerns. They were honest about which ones were superficial and which were actual concerns. They also were able to see my sump pump had a bad switch and I didn't have any drain boards! Nobody likes spending money, but I'd rather pay a professional who's going to do quality work who's going to get the job done right the first time. They were recommended by my neighbor who got seepage fixed, and they're worth every penny!
