I recently had work done by this company, after I had water pipes freeze and burst on Valentines day 2025, and was not happy with the results. This was an insurance claim. During the long process, I was staying in a hotel in Boise and going home to Idaho City for the weekends. Below is the documented experience. The first thing I noticed was that they used the wrong color grout on my kitchen tile. I was asked at least twice what color grout to use for the tile I picked out for the kitchen and bathroom tile I picked out to be installed. I said off-white, bone or beige for the kitchen tile and gray for the bathroom tile. I got gray for both rooms (see pic). I was asked what color of grout a third time on my way to visit my home for the weekend. When I got home, all of the grout in the bathroom had been installed, except for about a 4 ft. square section. To me, this indicates communication issues between the office, pm and sub-contractor. The second issue I had was the kitchen counter top. I chose butcher block type counter tops. They had ordered four 8 ft. slabs which were pre-stained a dark brown color. One side of the kitchen had a 9 ft. run, leaving a seam right in the middle of the sink, instead of one continuous slab (see pic). I was not happy with this. I ordered a 10 ft. slab, with my own funds, which was not stained as Home Depot did not have any in this length. They agreed to stain and install the new slab at no additional cost. The sub-contractor had left a small can of stain at my house labeled "butcher block." I dropped off the slab and can of stain at their shop. When I got home, the countertop had been installed. It was stained the wrong color, there were machining marks from the planer, across the entire surface and the backsplash was a half inch short (see pics). At this point, I was getting very frustrated. It was late October by then and I had been out of my home since Valentines day. I ended up sanding down the counter myself and staining it the correct color, at my expense and time. Fortunately, there was a piece of scrap backsplash they had left behind I could cut to the correct length. When I ordered the 10 ft. slab I had also ordered a new sink and garbage disposal. They had installed the garbage disposal incorrectly and it would have made a mess had I tried to use it. They put the flanged end of the drain pipe on the wrong side. Fortunately, my plumber caught the mistake and fixed this, also at my personal expense. Another issue I had was the bathroom vanity plumbing. They had done some creatively crazy drain piping (see pics) that my plumber also fixed. This made me wonder if the sub-contractor was licensed for plumbing, as their work would not have passed inspection. There were several trim boards which were left short (see pics). I also fixed these at my expense. The issue I have with this is that somebody knew they were short and made the decision to leave them that way. A piece of flooring was also left with a noticeable gap next to the wall. I had to order, at my expense, an entire box of flooring to replace one board, as no flooring was left behind. All of this work was done by two sub-contractors. The drywall guys did a good job, minus the fact that on of the guys stole some fresh vegetables, I had sitting on my kitchen table, that my neighbor had given me. When I confronted the guy about it, he said he threw them away as they were rotten. Sorry, fresh zucchini does not rot in one week, sitting on the table. Even if it did, it was not his call to make. The sub who did the rest of the work was one young guy who had two non-English speaking fellas, from south of the border. They say that they guarantee their work for 5 years. At this point, I would not call them for any warranty work. I would do it myself for lack of faith in their standards, which do not meet mine. They could have made it right by compensating me for the work I had to do to make things right, but chose not to. Would not recommend.

When disaster pro showed up at our house, they told not to worry they would take care of us properly. On one occasion I asked for certain crew members because they knew we wanted to change the corners too squared in stead of 45 angle. David Bowman in formed me that he and Paul Castronova chose the crew and were the only ones that could make any changes, I thought it was my house and should be built the way I wanted it. Paul told me, we didn't have a good insurance company work (Allstate) with a he would give a recommendation when they were done. We never new what day or what time they were coming. We would get up at 7:00am give our puppies calming pills prescribed by our vet, because of stress of all these strangers in and out of our home. Then no one would show which was not good for the puppies. When I asked for a schedule David said we weren't the only project and had to fit us in. A couple of the delays were waiting for product for the floor or cabinets to come. We went a five week stretch where we had no kitchen cabinets and no water. We were doing dishes in the guest bathroom sink. At one point they had the freezer blocked I couldn't get to it to get food for our dinner. We were using a micro wave oven and a table top oven to cook in or would have to go out or delivery. The project started the third week of September and we got our home back on Christmas eave. After completing the project I asked Paul who he recommended for insurance. His response was since your wife wrote a bad review, he would only give us the name of she would take down her post. Can you say Blackmail.
