I reached out to this company for asbestos removal of detached ducts, expecting them to be thorough and professional. Instead, I experienced delays, an inflated quote, and poor communication. I initially contacted them on March 10th, providing details about the work needed (they require you to fill out a form). I provided them the information they needed the same day. I didn't receive a quote until March 19th...nine days later. When I reviewed it, I noticed it was $2,000+ higher than quotes from other licensed abatement companies. When I asked about the cost difference, they claimed it was due to the need to "carefully detach" the ducts and more (review the email below). However, my ducts were already detached and able to easily fit through our attic hatch. I sent a follow-up email and finally received a response...three days later. In that email they responded that they were declining to move forward. When we eventually got them removed by another company, they did not require them to be "cut up in pieces". Cutting them would make them "friable" so I'm not sure why JJ&S insisted on that. Very odd. Final thoughts: If my communication with them is any indication of how they run their business, I'd be very cautious.
