Outstanding. Excellent service. Fast, punctual, clean, cordial, cooperative, great communication. Crew chief José Moya, together with Vidal and David, were a terrific team. At my request, they talked and walked me through each stage of what they were doing, and why, as they raised the downhill 30% of my house by nearly four inches to bring it back to level. I have no complaints whatsoever. I recommend them highly based on my experience. Even a shoutout to Francesca in the office, who also was of great help to me. Thanks to all. Great job.

This will be my second review of bayarea underpinning sunnyvale california. The first review I posted was removed upon request of the general manager at the sunnyvale california location. His name is Andrew Rothenburg. I was contacted by mr. Rothenburg in regards to my complaints about reoccurring cracks and having to put up with doors inside my house not opening and closing properly after the foundation repair work preformed by bayarea underpinning. Mr Rothenburg stated to me that he personally along with two of his most knowledgeable employees would be arriving at my home to address the problems that had continued to arise time after time . I was told with no uncertainty, once he evaluated the situation he would rectify the problems. Well , Mr Rothenburg did keep the appointment to personally look at my concerns. Unfortunately that was all he had done. After he and his two employees had left i realize in all the talk between myself and the three representative that my doors were not repaired so I could open or close any of them. I contacted Mr Rothenburg, he asked me to remove the unfavorable review and stated it being a Friday he would contact me the following Monday and schedule a appointment for someone to come to my house to fix the doors that had not been fixed yet. We'll i am a man of my word and I remove my review. Mr Rothenburg, i found out is not a man of his word. Its been two weeks and one text message that I sent to him letting him know I have no respect for him or any other person who does not keep their word. To anyone reading this review, it is my opinion that any person,Especially a male who does not care about keeping their word , can 100% not be trusted what so ever.. please understand I take no pleasure in writing this review what so ever. I truly would much rather be writing to praise both bayarea underpinning and Mr Rothenburg. Thank you and good day to all.

If your building/home is sinking, Groundworks is your solution! My neighbor was getting their building lifted so I decided to get a quote since we are on the same soil. I was very impressed with Cody Wellner who came to give me a quote to just keep 1/4 of my building from sinking any further. He took photos in my crawlspace to show me the cracks that I can't see as well as showed me the cracks on the outside. I asked if I should put support in other parts of my building and he said it isn't needed. Because he didn't try to upsell me which I have felt other companies did try, I felt this company is one I could trust. The whole process was incredibly easy. Groundworks worked with my city to get the permit and once it was approved, scheduled the work quickly. Richard was assigned as the lead for the work. He was fantastic in keeping me posted on what the status and answered any questions I had. His crew (Fili, Frank and Sean) were all efficient, professional and did a great job. So if your building needs support, go with Groundworks!

He carefully reviewed every detail, answered all of my questions with patience, and took the time to explain everything clearly. Even though the visit did not result in immediate business, he was honest, professional, and extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of the home. UPDATE 2/17/26: After the first big rain of the season, my sump pump/perimeter trench operated flawlessly! Until it didn’t. I inspected and found a kink in the trench where water/dirt/mud is getting backed up and consequently overflowing. There’s also a beeping sound coming from the sump pump itself. I’ve called for a service appointment not once, not twice, but THREE times over the past month and a half. NO ONE HAS CALLED ME BACK!!! They guarantee their product for 20 years but what good is it if no one comes back to service when you have issues or even calls you back?!?! Meanwhile, my basement still floods and I’m out thousands of dollars. Groundworks is awesome! Highly recommend 👍 Everyone from the office to the job site were professional and knowledgeable. The project was managed seamlessly from bid to completion. Angelo came to inspect and we worked on a solution for a new drainage/sump pump system because our crawl space floods during heavy rains. He was super informative and helpful. Office ladies and PM’s were on top of scheduling and super responsive. A couple days before the project, I was notified that Josh and his crew were on our project. They showed up on time, informed about the project, and were super nice! Not only that, Nelson’s crew showed up to help and all the guys completed the job in half the time! I’m super happy that I went with Groundworks, everyone was a pleasure to work with!

James was extremely helpful and informative with inspecting my foundation. I feel like I took a popup class. He explained everything and let me know what to look out for. He gave suggestions and tips for future improvements and confirmed parts that had good structure, including reassurance about places I had concerns. I was nervous about the inspection, but he made it very easy.

Do not contact this company, and do not be misled by their professional appearance. The quality of their work is poor, and their follow-up warranty service is virtually nonexistent. I had major foundation repair work completed by EagleLift (now part of Groundworks) in 2023. The project included underpinning the perimeter foundation with more than 20 push piers and replacing approximately 50 crawl-space posts. Problems began on day one. Even after this costly repair, several areas of the house remained unlevel. EagleLift attempted to correct the issue but was unable to do so. The situation worsened after EagleLift became part of Groundworks. Groundworks has failed to respond to my service requests, despite my 25-year warranty being part of the contract. As a result, I had to spend additional time and money to completely replace the portion of the foundation where the issues were most severe. Other areas that were repaired by Groundworks still have unresolved problems, and I have received no response to my warranty claims. More than two years later, I am still waiting for any meaningful follow-up from their warranty service. [update on 1/27/2027] Despite Groundworks stating in their response below that they would contact me, several weeks have passed with no follow-up. Based on my experience dealing with Groundworks, this lack of response is unfortunately not surprising.
