Never, never, never! For years now, I’ve grumbled about how the water in the entire house goes off, if the toilet tank runs a bit because the ball gets stuck; if I don’t tightly turn off the hose when I water the plants; etc. the least little thing, and there’s no water. I keep reminding myself that it’s for our own safety and well-being, and that the annoyance is worth it, to protect the house from water damage. Until now. We were away, and someone neglected to fully turn off the water in a bathroom sink. The house sitter didn’t notice the drip. The sink filled, overflowed, and continued to drip for SIX DAYS, eventually ruining newly installed carpeting. EXACTLY the outcome we invested in this system to prevent - water damage - happened. After paying for water remediation and carpet padding replacement - we were able to save the carpet - we called the company. Their response?? We’re not responsible for the system failure! Really? Who is, if not you??

worst customer service, no follow up from top person down. Got a complex system installed, noting is working, complained so many time, each time I get a higher person up in the company but the result is the same,, no follow up it is the culture of the owners for sure I don't write negative reviews often but honestly they have earned. The part sent and installed by their certified technician never worked neither connected with the system. I got no were calling this company is a scam, I am sad that my insurance company take them seriously run a way

Leak Defense systems work great. Tracy Curley has been so helpful in purchasing and recommending installers for the 2 systems we purchased. Without Tracy it would have been very difficult getting the 2 systems up and running. One went into alarm the other day and after checking the inside I found that a Y connection on the outside sillcock for the garden hose had failed. Easy fix with no damage or water waste. Thank you Tracy Curley, you’re the best !!!

Leak defense system is solid and easy to use. I have two leak defense units. One unit in my vacation home and the second one in my primary home. Leak Defense support professionals were easily accessible for all the questions the plumber had. The support team treats their clients with great care and professionalism. The system and interface are very user friendly. The system has already proved its usefulness with two incidents at my home. Now I am able to travel without worrying about leaks when I am gone for extended periods of time. Truly a great product with outstanding professionals from presales to after sales support. Sometimes on the weekends their servers are down after hours and they have no support to remedy the problem when you call. Even their support email address gets rejected. I’ve used this service for over 3 years and it is usually quite reliable. When talking to them, their help and support is very good. Initial setup was easy. The app works well if you have a good internet connection. It is a very good product.

As a plumber getting stuck installing this brand, I do not like this product. LeakSmart is 10x better. I always try to talk my customers out of these valves. They have too many issues and are way too sensitive.
