There aren’t enough positive adjectives to describe the excellent cleanup performed by Harmony Environmental. When I say cleanup, it’s not the type of cleaning that involves dusting the furniture or mopping the floors. The type of cleanup I am referring to is cleaning, disinfecting, sanitizing, removing and disposing soiled and rotted furniture/carpet, etc. Without going into details, we had a family member residing in my deceased parents’ home who, unfortunately, became somewhat of a hoarder. Rats came in and started to nest. When the family member’s friends notified us, I immediately researched a hazmat cleaning company. I read positive reviews about Harmony Environmental, so I called them. Joe, the owner, spoke to me and answered/addressed all of my questions/concerns. The technicians who did the job were very patient, very professional and very communicative. I appreciated the fact that they took the time to explain what they were doing; the reasons why they were doing it; and even kept the items I wanted to keep safe. Shout out to Michael, Tomar and JD. They did such an amazing job. I was floored when I saw the results. And believe me when I say they had their work cut out for them. But they completed the job and again, completed it well! I cannot recommend Joe and his team at Harmony Environmental highly enough. They were recommended by a top notch mold expert in the Bay Area when we moved to North County and discovered mold under the kitchen sink and adjacent cabinets. Jon and his team were highly knowledgeable, experienced, professional, efficient, reasonably priced, and an absolute pleasure to work with from the first phone call to the end of the job. Joe took the time throughout the process to explain his findings and recommendations and answer questions. During the mold abatement in the kitchen, they took care to assess the full extent of the issue and thoroughly document their findings with photos. In other areas of the house we had concerns about and where wall moisture readings were elevated to varying degrees, I appreciated their thoughtful approach in determining when, where and how much sheet rock to remove to further investigate the area. They left all of the work areas spotless. I have subsequently called back with questions about a possible moisture issue on a north-facing wall, and Joe took the time to ask clarifying questions and explain his thinking about it. I am so grateful to have a mold professional in the area whose expertise, judgment, professionalism, customer service and fair pricing I can fully trust. Holly and JD were both really helpful and nonjudgmental. I had mice come into my kitchen and literally was petrified to go in there. I called them and they were able to come the very next morning. Our son experienced a medical emergency at his home, which resulted in copious amounts of bodily fluids being ejected. While he was in the ICU, I aggressively searched for a company in the San Diego area to go in and clean up the residence. I work at a hotel in San Diego and we had a sick resident check out and the room was left in dire need of help. The floor was no where in sight covered in trash and feces. When they were done working miracles it looked like a completely different room. They were all professional and extremely hard working. This company is amazing at turning a traumatic scene into a emotionally bearable home to live in once again. Justin i believe his name is whom I spoke with was very professional and they went above and beyond just cleaning up the blood and fecal ordeal i had to look at. They were very empathetic about my feelings and needs for the situation. A clean up that i thought was going to take at least a week was done in a matter of only a couple days. It was an extremely disturbing situation with our dear friend dead for a week before we found him. This happened in San Diego. The smell was so horrible that no one but the police and the coroner could go in the house. It was something out of a horror movie. It was heartbreaking. I made a few calls to different companies and Dwayne made it out that day to give me an estimate. I felt comfortable with him so we said okay. They came out the next day Saturday. Then Sunday to check on things. Then 3 more times during the week to get every bit of trash and smell out. I just went back last night and all the smell was gone and the trash was picked up. We are definitely grateful for their help at such a painful and sad time for us.
